The first Senior Centre Meet of 2019 held at Papakura on Saturday the 12th of Jan and it was a great success.
Our Athletes performed admirably against some great competition. It was wonderful to see our under 16s and under 18s taking on the senior division.
Mens Results
Mens long jump winner was Papakuras' David Van Den Bogaard 6.13 m.
George Kozlov 3rd in the mens 100m 10.91.
Raymond Koole one of our masters athletes won the mens Javelin .
Leon Richards was placed in the discus
Womens results
Young 13 year old Evie Mc Clennahan came 3rd in the Senior Woman's High Jump
Evie was also 3rd in the under 16 Hurdles
A big thanks to the Committee members who started cleaning, blowing all the leaves ,and setting up all the equipment plus officiating . The canteen and barbeque were busy all day. A special thanks to Rob Ward and Mell!
